I woke up feeling pretty good this morning. Took my and it was 111. I am pleased again it was back into the normal ranges after such a stressful day yesterday. Losing over half of my post in Word Press is the pits. I added the widget a few weeks ago and noticed one thing, you need to save your work before doing the Yahoo Shortcuts Review this Post. This is the second time in a few weeks, I have lost over half of a post. Luckily the previous time, I was able to retrieve and save my post. Last night, I was unable to retrieve all of my post and it added to my stress level for yesterday.

Anyway, today has been much better stress wise, though for some reason I am not feeling up to par. My stomach has been bothering me on and off all day. Maybe I just need to eat a very nutritious meal. Lately my daughter has been cooking and she is a very picky eater. She hates vegetables except potatoes and rice and pastas. She hates eating fruit. I have tried to explain to her able her unhealthy eating habits will have repercussions definitely later on in life by her bad eating habits.

I sure wish someone had sat me down and explained the consequences of my bad eating habits. I probably could have prevented my diabetes and other health related problems. Taking better care of your health is important, especially when you are young. Don’t wait till you are in your 40s or 50s to decide to get with it in taking care of your body through exercise and healthy eating.

I was reading and listening to a video on ABC about Queen Latifah making a decision to lose between 10 - 15% of her body weight to prevent diabetes. She is now the spokesperson for Jenny Craig after they approached her. Her family and relatives all joined the Jenny Craig program to lose weight also. ’s grandmother lost a leg, part of her sight and eventually her life to diabetes. I admire Queen Latifah for having the courage to do something about her health. Jenny Craig has given her the incentive to lose the weight she has chosen to lose.

I have also been working on my website adding more merchandise. I am excited as I move forward in getting more done with my website. My sales are starting to increase. I thank the customers whom have bought from me. If you have not had a chance to visit my Shirley’s Delight store, please take a moment and browse through my store.

I love to take walks. I’m not sure when I started loving it, because it wasn’t that long ago that I really hated it. I was into bicycling when I was young, and running for a short period of my life. Walking always seemed very boring to me. It seemed to take FOREVER to get anywhere while, with my bike, I could be miles and miles away in seemingly no time at all. But I have truly begun to appreciate walking. I started walking quite a bit this fall, but then the cold weather set in. It’s been miserably cold and snowy here lately. It seems like it’s been winter for a year now! I know that if I could get out and walk some, that the weight would almost certainly come off even more quickly.

But this is a kind of strange program related to exercise. I’m actually encouraged NOT to exercise for the first little while. While my body is adapting to the new caloric intake level, I guess it’s not a good idea to radically change the energy level that my body requires, which starting a new exercise program in the middle of all of this would undoubtedly do. Hopefully the next few weeks will bring enough of a break in the weather that I can begin to get outside again and start getting at least a little exercise… and fresh air. It’s during months like this I wonder why in the world I live in a place where it gets so cold during the winter.

I should clarify that, according to the program, if you are already exercising, the advice they give is just to back off a little bit to let your body adjust, not stop entirely. Exercise is always a good thing.

I shouldn’t be weighing every day, but I just can’t resist watching the numbers consistently going down each day now. I was 244.5 this morning! Fifteen and a half pounds now! I’m hoping for twenty by the end of a full two weeks, but that’s still a pretty ambitious goal, even at the rate I’m dropping now.

My sister told me about wonderful new health and fitness site the other day. … but as it turned out it is more than just that…it is a community of people all striving for the same thing: a healthier and fuller life style. SPARKPEOPLE.com is totally awesome!! I love, love, love it!!! For any of you that were on the Alli program, you know that the website was a wonderful to help you stay on track….well spark people is 100 times better. I absolutely love this website. The site provides so many wonderful resouces. My favorite tool is the spark people recipe calculator. So if you are like me and don’t always want to eat pre-packaged foods, you can enter in you favorite homemade recipes, and the calculator determines all the nutritional content for you! I can’t tell how awesome this is for me. It just makes my life so much easier…no more guessing how many calories were in the sandwich I made for lunch! Anywho, along with the recipe calculator, it provides a nutrition tracker and a fitness tracker…and loads more stuff like instructional videos and what not.
