This Woman Is NOTHING SHORT OF AMAZING!!
ANY DVD of Jillian’s you purchase will be fantastic. I have most and they are all crazy good! That said, Shred is wonderful! The exercises are easy to follow and make your muscles BURN! It incorporates Jillian’s exclusive 3-2-1 method of 3 minutes of strength training, 2 minutes of cardio, then 1 minute of abs, in a 3 circut set up! Really gets your heart rate up there for max calorie burn! It consist of 3 levels, so you can keep yourself challenged. All you need is a pair of hand weights and if you don’t have those, you can substitute them with bottles of water, or can goods… If you ever feel you master this DVD,(which will be hard to do), increase the weights and the new challenge of this DVD starts over again at the begining.
Jillian Michaels is wonderful and ALL of her products are fabulous! Shred will do exactly that… get you SHREDDED!
Oh, and just to put it out there, I am a bigger girl, have lost a good bit (49lbs) but still have ALOT to lose, and I am able to do this workout. I believe anyone can do it… if you are a bigger person like me, or cut like Jillian!
Do YOURSELF a favor, and add this DVD to your collection!
Great for beginners to advanced
This is a great video for beginners all the way up to advanced. It will be especially great for starting out or lower level workouts b/c it starts with an easy 20 minute routine and then allows you to progress to the more advanced 20 minute routines. For really advanced people you could do 2 or all 3 20 minute routines for a hard core workout. Not too hard on the joints and incorporates plenty of ab work within the workout so your not stuck trying to do abs at the end.
This is a definte must have….
Being a former fitness competitor I didn’t know what to expect but this is an EXCELLENT workout!! I would recommend it to anyone interested in getting their body toned and tightened. I’ve done the dvd 3X’s and can actually feel my body getting stronger each time I do it. Thanks Jillian!
Tough love
I thought I was in good shape when I got this DVD. Jillian proved me wrong. The workouts are TOUGH. They cause most muscle groups to burn. Your lungs burn. Your shoulders and arms and legs will be sore. You will sweat. And it’s awesome. I hear in the back of my head when I do this workout: “Hate me now, love me later.” I do hate her during the workout because she won’t give me a break! Which is a good thing. But I love her now because I’ve only been doing this workout for a week and already lost an inch on my arms and can see a difference in tone everywhere.
Also, they have a funny feature where you can turn off Jillian’s voice during each workout and just have the background music….are they saying you wouldn’t want to listen to her while you work out? She is pretty intense, after all…
Perfect little workout!
Got this dvd last week and did my first day on Monday. Let’s just say 15 minutes into level 1, I had to sit down and catch my breath. I consider myself to be fit and typically workout 4-5 times a week for an hour, so I thought this would be a piece of cake but oh, I was sooo wrong. So if you want a short intensive workout that gets results get this dvd. I gave it 4 stars because Jillian does not count or give good cues.
