 76 days until the race!

I haven’t be running or biking much the last week or so.  I’ve been working on Jillian’s Making the Cut and I can do one or the other.  Making the Cut is a combination strength training and cardio program and it WEARS me OUT.  She’s serious.  But something really cool happened last night.  

In the first circuit of the night, she demanded scorpion push-ups of me.  Twenty of them.

Right, so I thought “I can’t do 20 pushups, let alone 20 scorpion pushups!  This is crazy!”  

Here’s what scorpion pushups look like.

Then I did 20 scorpion pushups and realized I’m a lot stronger now than I used to be.

Neat!  

Jeremy asked me how much weight I had lost since we met in September and I said I’d look it up.  It turns out that I’ve lost 20 pounds.  I have 10 more pounds to go.  Ten more measly pounds!  I got that.  That’s nothing.  When I lose these last 10 pounds, I’ll have lost 77 pounds since November 2005.  And I’ll be crazy ripped.
