Well, I went to the doctor today and weighed in. I only lost 2.5 pounds since last week but I am at 18.5 pound loss. My other numbers from previous posts were incorrect. 5 more pounds and I will have lost 10% of my body weight since beginning this diet. Not too shabby. Of course, I would have preferred more but I was cheating all week.

Not only did I lose that weight but my glucose numbers dropped from a beginning number of 225 to a number 2 weeks ago of 148. That is pretty significant. Color me a bright shade of pleased.

Also, the doctor said I could eat one “Lean Cuisine” frozen meal a day. The only prerequisite is that it must be between 200 and 300 calories. I am so excited. I get to eat real food again. This change could make all the difference to the diet. The doctor said that it should only make about a 1 pound difference in my weight loss per month. But, with the running I have been doing, maybe not. I am pretty excited about how all of this is working so far. Now, I have to get my walk/run in.
