I decided on Easter Sunday this year that it was time for me to lose some weight. I was feeling a little weary about swim suit season coming up and figured that I could lose enough weight to wear one confidently this summer if I started right away. So on March 24th I officially started diet plan. I didn’t really want to fully commit to anything so I just started by limiting my calories and fat intake. I was dropping 1-2 pounds a week which I was pretty happy with. I got to talking to my mom and she told me that there was a new South Beach Diet book out and I should give it a try. I figured mother knows best so I went out and bought the book with her on May 5th. Despite it being finals week…I read the whole in just a day or two. I officially started the South Beach Diet on May 7th and have been following it pretty strictly. By May 9th I’d lost 2 pounds, and when I weighed myself this morning I’d lost another two. That’s double what I’ve been losing! I find that it’s really easy to follow. My fridge is stocked with veggies, chicken, shrimp, etc. and I’m finding that I’m more full and satisfied after my meals. I think I’ve found what is going to work for me. My goal is to weigh 140 pounds by December. Just in time for graduation so I can look great walking across that stage
