Gosh - another work week almost behind us….The time goes tooo fast!! Went out for dinner and drinks with a couple of girlfriends on Tuesday evening….It was a refreshing and stress relieving time….no business talk and when one of us lead the conversation in that direction….we quickly *corrected* each other! I decided before I went what I was having - a fresh lobster ceasar salad and a diet pepsi (no carbs) - and stuck to that plan….for the most part….I DID have 1/3 to 1/2 slice of bread. I had maintained my focus extremely well until then….Yesterday, was a great food day - UNTIL I got home….I did make dinner (a small piece of sirloin tip steak and 1/2 c mashed turnip) but I still wanted *something*….I took information’s advice from awhile ago and removed myself from the kitchen and *tried* to change my focus. It didn’t work….I probably ate a dozen wheat thins….and then measured and cooked 1 cup of pasta with some cheese….ohhhh and did I say salt…..!!! Yeah, the salt tasted GOOD….! Had there been snack/junk foods in the house, I fear I would have consumed MORE than enough of it….but the cupboards are bare of *treat* kind of things! In fact, my fridge is just about bare too! I do have to shop this evening after work….Had I had some salad fixin’s - i feel I would have been satisfied with that and a catalina or raspberry dressing…just enough sweetness to perhaps overcome my unknown cravings….Although it could have been worse - I feel like some of the rest of you….There are definitely *underlying* reasons for why we choose to binge eat….I haven’t figured out my triggers yet….but thankfully, I didn’t do too much damage - ONLY because I didn’t have foods on hand that are unhealthy - I’m down again to 243….and really hoping to see a new low by next week this time….For about 8 weeks now…..I’ve been going back and forth between 243 - 248…..Keep losing and gaining the same five pounds or so….but NOT this time….This time, I am on my way to BELOW 240….I CAN….I KNOW it…..!! Have an absolutely tremendous day everyone!! Huggggies
