ok, there it is. 2 whole pounds more. slip-sliding away. you know the nearer your destination, the more you’re slip sliding away. hmmmmmm ok, the song was nice, but that’s not my fate. just a bump in my success road. still not really sure what happened. i was really tired after those 2 heavy duty week-long database trainings with the flu in the middle. and i think i was feeling i was giving me a break or comfort or something. anyway, i do believe i’m snapped out of it. i ate 5 pieces of mini halloween candy and so far do not feel tempted to eat anymore. we shall see. at least i was way under ww goal of 171 so earning that free lifetime membership status is not in jeopardy.
My boys are gone for the weekend. hockey tournament a few states over, so it’s just me and my daughter. we’ll do our favorite girly thing tomorrow which is “hang out at Olive Garden!” sounds silly, but we can sit there and eat salad for hours! we usuall don’t get the pasta, just salad and minestrone soup. probably not the healthiest or lowest in fat foods, but not tooo guilt laden either. It’s just nice to spend time with her- they grow up too quick. I can’t beieve she’s 12, and that makes me….. and unmentionable age!
So I s’pose you’re either going to be trick-or-treating tonight or handing out candy, huh? That’s ok just as long as you don’t try to eat it! I went to the store last night specifically to pick up some candy, but decided against it. One; we live out in the country and never get any little spookies ringing our doorbell for that wonderful chocolate! and two; I was just going to have it in the bowls for a decorative and festive appeal! Welp! If I do that, it’ll be eaten by my hubby and son, and more than likely I’ll be happy to help! Can’t have that, now can we? I spent my first day in the public gym last night with my daughter. I forgot how much that sucks! the treadmills are placed in the window and all the other equipment is placed behind us! That means that everybody behind us got to watch us! I’m not down with that! I like my privacy, darn it! I also forgot to buy some of those alcohol wipes for the handles of the elipticals and any other piece of equipment we had to touch. The more I thought about it, the more disturbed I became! Yuck! My weekend is jammed full of things to do! football, bowling tournament, work, date night with hubby, and worrying about son that is heading off to L.A. for a choir competition with his school tomorrow! Never a dull moment around here, that’s for sure! Today’s biggest question; should I, or should I NOT run 6 miles today? hmmmm…considering what I ate for lunch…maybe I SHOULD! have a happy Halloween, buddies!
