Happy New Year! I just wanted to drop in and wish you all a very happy New Year, may it bring you good health and happiness, time to say goodbye to 2008 and hello to 2009.

You’ve probably been wondering why I haven’t posted much lately… I just haven’t had anything to post about… no riding and no stamping. No riding, the weather has been pretty chilly and I rather not freeze my booty… although today it seems to be warming up. No stamping, I’ve lost the desire and I don’t see that changing anytime soon. I’ve actually thought about putting all my supplies Craig’s List, but I know I wouldn’t be able to part that easily with some… isn’t crazy that I have some sick kind of an emotional attachment to a piece of wood and rubber?! I’ve also made the decision not to rejoin the monthly stamp club that I’ve been attending for almost seven years. Maybe one day I’ll get my desire back, until then my posts will be few and probably far in between!

What’s been keeping me busy and occupying my time? I’ve recently and secretly (no secret now) turned into a Twilight fan! Do you believe that… an almost 40 year old mom who is obsessed in finding out what happens between Edward Cullen and Bella Swan. I wasn’t really interested in reading the Twilight series until I saw the Twilight movie. Riley has been reading the books all along and has completely enjoyed them, so much so she has reread them all about three or four times.

After seeing the movie I had so many questions about the characters and what happens next, of course I turned to Riley for answers. After seeing the movie for the second time I was even more intrigued and had even more questions… Riley put her foot down and said I had to read the books… no more spoilers for me. A few days ago I went out and bought the Twilight series (by Stephanie Meyer)… Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn… (all had to be hardback of course, I’m picky that way… and Riley is protected of her books, absolutely no borrowing (even if I paid for them… what’s up with that))!

The last few nights I’ve been pulling late nighters reading… I can’t seem to put the books down. Last night we went to see Twilight once again with my mother (my parents are visiting from Wyoming), I’m sure Riley and I will see it at least two more times before it leaves the theaters… shhh can’t tell Bryan… he thinks we’re a little nuts! By the way, mom really liked the movie. Last night it was another late night of reading for me… I went to bed at 5:30 am and right now I’m functioning on about 3 hours of sleep, going on my third cup of coffee! Hopefully I can get a nap in sometime today… I have to be well rested when I start the third book, Eclipse, later today!
